Bearsden’s oldest Brownie unit is in urgent need of volunteers.

1st Bearsden Brownies, which meets in the Guide Hall in Pendicle Road every Tuesday evening, wants to recruit more helpers to ensure it can continue to provide exciting adventure for its girls, aged seven to 10.

A spokesperson for Girlguiding Dunbartonshire said: “We welcome helpers from all stages of life, whether it’s a teenager keen to get experience of working with children, to a retiree looking for a new challenge.

“Being a volunteer will also help your CV stand out as you can learn a whole new range of skills – from problem-solving and leadership to event management and accounts.

“And not forgetting the crafts, games and badges that make every unit meeting special.

“1st Bearsden Brownie unit was formed in 1916 and we want to make sure it’s thriving for decades to come, but we need your help to do this.”

If you can spare a few hours every week and are aged 18 or over, please email BearsdenBrownies@gmail.com for more information.
