‘Blood’-smeared young leaders brought first aid to life for 2nd Vale of Leven Brownies.

The enthusiastic teens were asked to pretend to be injured, but they took the task to the next level by staging an imaginary scenario where they had been camping and attacked by a bear.

Their dedication to the role shone through as they applied fake wounds and fully immersed themselves in the role, giving the Brownies an authentic hands-on learning experience.

‘Valuable skills’

Karen Ackland, leader of 2nd Vale of Leven Brownies, said: “The activity has been a great success, and the Brownies are developing valuable skills thanks to the enthusiasm and leadership of their young leaders.”

Girlguiding Dunbartonshire is recruiting new volunteers to help ensure its units across Dumbarton and the Vale can stay open. For more information, or to register, visit www.girlguidingdunbartonshire.org.uk
